I love outdoor sports especially fishing and hunting of all kinds! The stories and memories of spending time in nature are some I never will forget. The EBCC Sportsman’s Banquet is the perfect mix of sharing God’s Love for each one of us, with 1,400 other people who enjoy the “nature” God created for us. It is one of the best ministries I can be a part of.

Being part of this outreach for over twelve years has been such a huge blessing. Getting the opportunity to greet people, looking to have a fun night, with a smile, is a great feeling. Having the privilege to pray for someone who just received Jesus, in a crowd of 800, is awesome!

That’s what it’s all about.

I really enjoy serving God in this way. The banquet brings in people from all over, and to talk with them and listening to their stories is incredible. The feedback from people that have attended the banquet is what makes you want to serve even more. God touches each and everyone, especially myself by being part of the banquet.

This is my third year as part of the Sportsman’s Banquet team. I love being a part of an event that is Christ centered. Since serving is a form of worship, this is my way of expressing gratitude for what Jesus has done for me and giving Him praise. The banquet is a great way to spread the love of Jesus to others through ministry.

I love being part of East Bay’s Banquet, because it gives me, along with everyone who works with me, the opportunity to meet others, and share the Gospel in our community. Being outdoors and in nature year round are where my favorite memories have been made; bow hunting with my husband, and most recently, watching my husband, and 3 year old daughter, set the hook to reel in a beautiful lake trout! Making memories and passing on traditions are priceless!

Ever since a I was a little girl, I had a love for the outdoors! Camping trips with the family, taking the boat out fishing, and hunting with my dad are just some of my favorites. Serving God through this banquet, I not only get to express my love for the outdoors, but my love for Him as well. It’s amazing seeing the community come together from all over, witnessing discipleship throughout the evening and being apart of something that has brought people closer to Christ!

I have always been passionate about outdoor activities: hunting, fishing, backpacking, canoeing, camping, and exploring. I want to leverage this passion to help in any way I can to promote the gospel of Jesus Christ to sportsmen in our area.

GROWING UP AROUND FISHING AND HUNTING GEAR AT ROY’S GENERAL STORE SPARKED MY APPRECIATION FOR THE OUTDOORS EARLY ON. I LOVE SERVING IN WOMEN’S AND KIDS’ MINISTRIES AND PARTICIPATING IN COMMUNITY EVENTS LIKE KIDS’ FREE FISHING DAY, THE NMC BARBECUE, AND CHERRY FEST 5K’S. FROM RINGING THE SALVATION ARMY BELL TO SUPPORTING TOYS FOR TOTS, GIVING BACK HAS ALWAYS BEEN A PRIORITY. TRAVELING TO PLACES LIKE JERUSALEM REMINDS ME OF GOD’S INCREDIBLE WORK EVERYWHERE. BEING PART OF THE SPORTSMEN’S BANQUET ALLOWS ME TO COMBINE MY LOVE FOR PEOPLE, MINISTRY AND THE OUTDOORS, SHARING THE GOSPEL WITH OTHERS.
